Dear Friends:

We are pleased to invite you to join patients and advocates from more than 18 participating organizations in the first ever United for Lung Health Federal Advocacy Day 2008, to be held May 13-14, 2008 in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of United for Lung Health Advocacy Day is to educate our elected officials about lung disease from the patient’s perspective and urge them to increase funding of lung health research and education programs.  More than 35 million Americans live with lung diseases such as COPD (chronic obstructive lung disease), asthma and lung cancer.  By uniting advocates from across the country, we can make a difference in the lives of patients living with lung disease and offer hope for new funding that can lead to improved treatment and more successful outcomes.

Please join us on May 13-14 for this historic event and help us share the stories and voices of friends and family members who are living with lung disease.

Sign up today to be a part of the United for Lung Health Federal Advocacy Day. We look forward to seeing you in Washington, D.C.

Sincerely,

Joel Africk
President and Chief Executive Officer
Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago
